Pitchfork Bench, 2022

The WORKERS collection emerged from the idea of reinterpreting objects, seeking to recapture familiarity and assembly methods through new volumes capable of carrying their everyday values.
The piece is a bench made from twelve cast iron pitchforks; cut and welded together with electrostatic paint.
The legs are made from Roxinho wood hoe handles, a type of wood traditionally used for tool handles due to its hardness and physical resistance, in their original diameter and color.
The assembly is done by adapting the mounting joint of a pitchfork, originally made entirely of wood, with a hand-carved, polished brass peg.
